What are the causes and consequences of a lack of boundaries in my relationships? 2023

In 2023, I had two bodies of work going on at the same time. While my 3D body studied systematic impacts on individuals, I wanted to study more intimate things in this body through drawings.

There's been an interesting mechanism of boundaries for me. I learned about "boundary" through American therapy, and there's no existing idea in Chinese culture. This was a new concept that goes beyond just a word I focus on studying my boundaries with my mom, who stayed in China when I moved to America with dad. The constructs of familial relationships becomes complex with physical distance. My awareness of boundaries continues to shape, form, and affect my understanding of myself and my relationships.
